‘Anfibio’ lounge in tan leather, 3 seater, in the style of Alessandro Becchi, first design 1971. Named Anfibio, Italian for amphibian, the design draws inspiration from fold-out life rafts, expressed through its fluid form and transformative functionality. Capable of four distinct configurations, it is a refined study in adaptability, balancing sculptural presence with everyday use.
Originally designed in 1971 by Alessandro Becchi, the Anfibio was selected for exhibition at Museum of Modern Art in New York and now resides in MoMA’s permanent collection, alongside those of 12 other major modern art museums worldwide, cementing its status as a landmark of radical Italian design.
Condition: The lounge was made recently and has seen very little use.
