A rare ‘Caravelle’ lounge chair by Paul Leidersdorff, produced by A.Leidersdorffsen, Denmark in 1965. Clearly taking some reference from the earlier Barcelona chair with a utilitarian revision. The frame is solid plate aluminium with a one piece side frame being slightly superior to the Cado manufacture of the same chair having a two piece side frame. The seat and back rest are supported by a slotted ply, with the original brown, leather upholstered cushions. A very strong design perfect for the corner reading chair or HIFI room.

Condition: The frame has some minor marking, polishing an option that we have chosen to pass on but can organise. The timber seat and back rest also showing some marking, with a small loss to the top right back rest corner, approx size of a thumb nail. Cushions are original and show patina, also two missing buttons. We would welcome requests to recover and can be quoted in-house to be completed pre-delivery. Still a very presentable and structurally sound chair.
