Details

Pair of, LC1 or Fauteuil Dossier Basculant (tilting back chair) by Le Corbusier, Charlotte Perriand and Pierre Jeanneret for Cassina. First introduced in 1929 at the Salon d’Automne, the LC series and in particular the LC1 is a keystone in the history of modern design. These particular chairs are upholstered in cowhide outer, with a black canvas inner and black leather arm rest straps. They were owned by an avid local collector of modern design and have been very well looked after.

Condition: Chrome is in good condition for age, showing minor signs of age. Leather armrests hold very well with minimal stretch. Seat and back rests retain all original springs. Both stamped and numbered.
