The Genot coffee table is the second design in the growing range by Dane Sampson of Genot Furniture.  Locally made from solid American oak, the Genot table is a nod to hand built styles seen early in the 20th century, when furniture was starting to take on straight forms and reflect the movements in architecture at the time.

Each table is hand turned and finished straight off the tool with very minimal sanding required. This results in an incredibly flat, high resolution timber grain pattern only achievable with a certain knowledge for sharpening and blade care. The top is solid, supported by stepped round tenon legs. For finishing, no power is used, only basic hand tools and a combination of hard wax and tung oil, leaving the surface low sheen and safe for kids and in spaces where food is served.
