16″ Contract base side/coffee table (4 available), in walnut, by Charles and Ray Eames for Herman Miller. A timeless classic that was housed in The Advertiser building for likely decades. The “Contract” naming signifies the solid aluminium five star base, first released circa 1960, around the same time as the rest of the ‘Alu Group’ series. This sizing was designed to compliment both lounge and side chairs along with larger dining tables.

Being from such a high use location, the tops do show signs of age, mainly in surface finish but are still very presentable. The natural walnut veneer itself is in good condition with minor surface issues and would respond very well to a light refinish. Price is in “as is” condition.
