Purchased new in 2021 and upholstered in a green shade Kvadrat Vidar 4 (Canard), a premium wool upholstery textile renowned for its rich texture, exceptional durability and architectural aesthetics. The modular composition offers a highly adaptable seating arrangement while retaining the unmistakable low-slung silhouette that has defined the Togo for more than five decades.

Designed by Michel Ducaroy in 1973, the Togo marked a radical departure from conventional upholstered furniture. Constructed entirely from multi-density foam with a quilted cover and no internal frame, its distinctive sculptural form was inspired by the casual folds of a crumpled toothpaste tube. The design quickly became an icon of French modernism, earning the René Gabriel Prize upon its release and remaining one of Ligne Roset’s longest continuously produced and most celebrated designs. Its enduring appeal lies in the balance between technical innovation, exceptional comfort and an instantly recognisable silhouette that continues to influence contemporary interiors.

Condition: Purchased new in 2021 and lightly used in a private residence. The upholstery presents exceptionally well, with no notable wear, making this an excellent example of an original Ligne Roset Togo setting.
